The Farm School, located in Athol, Massachusetts, is a family
run farm that provides children with the real on-hands experience
of working a farm. They provide multi-day residential school-year
and summer programs for the over 1,500 young people and their
teachers, a year-long apprentice program to train adults in modern
sustainable agriculture, and an on-site one-room middle school.
Careful mentoring, meaningful work, humor and kindness are at
the center of all they do.
Chef Peter Davis is a significant buyer from several area farmers,
particularly from The Farm School, keeping his menu flexible
day-to-day so that he can use what’s not only in season
but what’s extraordinary at the moment.
