As part of the commitment Henrietta’s Table has made to the promotion of sustainable agriculture and the incorporation of local vendors, The Charles Hotel hosts a Farmer’s Market in Charles Square.
Henrietta’s Table and The Charles Hotel are proud to provide a home for our friends.
The 2016 Farmers Market is open for the season.
Fridays from 12pm – 6pm & Sundays from 10am – 3pm
Farmers from Massachusetts and New Hampshire will gather – rain or shine – to sell everything from artisan cheeses to homemade candies.
Visit the stands of Grateful Farm featuring organic produce and herbs, Hi-Rise Bread featuring bread, pastries and jam, Kimball Fruit Farm providing fruit, vegetables, pies and heirloom tomatoes, Stillman’s Farm providing conscientiously raised and grass fed meats and poultry; Formaggio Kitchen featuring a variety of New England cheeses, Busa Farm providing specialty produce and herbs, tomatoes, and berries of all kinds, and more! We’re proud to announce that Chef Peter Davis has been named “Sustainer of the Year” by Chefs Collaborative, a leading nonprofit network of chefs that fosters a sustainable food system through advocacy, education, and collaboration with the broader food community.
The Sustainer Award “recognizes a chef with a demonstrated understanding that food choices emphasizing delicious, locally grown, seasonally fresh, and whole or minimally processed ingredients are good for us, for local farming communities, and for the planet.
The Farm School
Recently, part of our staff headed out to visit The Farm School in Athol, MA.
The Farm School is an amazing place where both adults and children learn what it means to be stewards of the Earth. We’ve been working with them for many years and play host to their annual Big Pig Gig Fundraiser each year.
We had a wonderful time touring the property, learning about their work, and feasting on a farm fresh supper.
